My love for graphic design began years ago, but I didn’t know it yet. As a kid, I loved creating all sorts of crafts, clothing, and more with my grandparents. This is where I really began to learn that I loved art. I started to find my passion when a cousin of mine showed me a video editing app. What drew me into video effects was the planning that went into it, which brought out such an exciting visual reward. At first, my videos were overwhelming and hard to follow as I had so much fun with the visuals while editing, I put them any and everywhere I could. I followed this passion for a few years until I had the opportunity to create a page in my middle school’s yearbook.

This is the moment I fell in love with graphic design.

I loved the process of creating an appealing layout that draws your eyes to certain places, and how satisfying it was to sit back and admire the finished product. What I enjoy most, is creating a design that’s visually-appealing, yet comes across as clearly as possible. Practicality is most important to me, as designs can only be successful when considering the ways in which it will be used. I hope to create designs that accomplish their purpose, while satisfying the customer and the viewers.
