Project Scope
As one of my first projects using Adobe Indesign, I was tasked with creating a cover for a fake book named Outworld. It describes a story of a man who seeks to find out the mystery of a missing crew from an old spaceship crash, and the rest of the story is unknown which allowed us to be creative with the visuals. I decided to feature the main character in an astronaut suit on the front cover, portraying that he is searching an unknown planet alone. I wanted to give a sense of mystery and leave room for endless oppurtunities. I went with a red and brown monotone color scheme to give the sense of Mars, as that’s the most popular planet shown to the public, so it immediately tells the viewer it is located in space. Lastly, the fonts included are very geometric and clean to give an analytical feel.
