As another oppurtunity to practice creating a design that can be applied to multiple types of supporting materials, students were assigned to come up with a concept for the 2024 Typographics festival. We were required to make 3 2-page spread layouts of a program, website mockups, a gift bag with merch, and a digital advertisement.

My Goal

Inspired by recently watching the movie Tron, I wanted to run with a coding/computer programing theme. To accomplish this I used a black background with high contrast, including elements like thin lines, frames, neon colors associated with different functions of code, and featuring the word “typographics” translated into binary code as a transparent background of the logomark.
